My bathroom sink surface has superficial cracks thruout the bowl. Can I resurface it or do I need to replace?

Hello,

It is an old sink and I do not know what it is made of. I am very handy and crafty if that matters. I also apologize, I am unable to attach a photo.

If you could help me it would be fantastic. I really do not want to replace the entire top. I will be moving and just want to make it look nice.

Thank you!

If sink is not leaking (water not leaking out),you may just want to keep an eye on it. You will, however, eventually need to replace it. Replace entire top? Are you referring to countertop? Unless sink is non-standard design (most sinks are round or slightly oval), you should probably be able to find very similar shape to install.
