Install laminate floors before or after cabinets in an office?

Asked July 15, 2015 by a homeowner in Flooring (AnnMarie DeVito)

It is my understanding that laminate flooring should be installed after cabinets; but hardwood flooring should be installed before cabinets? Is this true? This is for a home office space.

Yes you are correct, Reason is laminett flooring floats. you can not install fix units such as cabnets on top of floating floor. Hardwood flooring is nailed down or glued so anything fixed can be installed over it.
