    If there's already a fixture box rated for a fan, swapping in a ceiling fan is a common DIY job — cut the power at the breaker, confirm it's off with a tester, and follow the bracket instructions. If the box isn't fan-rated or there's no wiring there, get an electrician — a falling fan or bad connection is dangerous. Fan-rated boxes are a must.
