Hello, I received a very high estimate from a local plumber to replace two hose bibs with anti siphon devices installed, and to clear an air gap to my dish washer. He also quoted me $375 to put in a new bathroom sink faucet, which I can buy for $50 at home depot and install myself. Can you come give a free estimate? this is what they provided to me: Dishwasher Drain The dishwasher is draining through the airgap and not into the disposal as it is supposed to. This means the hose between the airgap and the disposal is restricted and this restriction needs to be addressed and corrected. Correct above $175.00 Front hose bib Front hose bib is leaking and needs to be replaced including code required anti-siphon device New hose bib $195.00 Back hose bib Back hose bib is leaking and needs to be replaced including code required anti-siphon device. This leak is actually leaking from the pipe that attaches the hose bib to the pipe in the wall. This is electrolysis that is caused by connecting dissimilar metals that are not compatible with each other. This repair could be as easy as removing the existing pipe, replacing it with a brass nipple, new hose bib including a code required anti-siphon device and also replacing the grounding clamp. As corroded as this pipe is it may just break off and not be removable without opening the stucco to access the connection and then do whatever is necessary to complete this repair. Stucco patch will need to be repaired by others at no additional cost either to or from us. New hose bib $275.00 - $750.00 all depends on what really needs to be done Lavatory sink The lavatory sink faucet and will most likely just need to be replaced due to fact its manufacturer is unknown. Total for a new faucet $375 Can you beat this quote?? Also need my water heater repaired. PGE tested thermocouple and it is good, said control valve panel, need quote for this as well I am in Tracy
