Roofing - Repair

My rental house at 32318 St. Michaels Place in Paradise MI has a metal roof leak just above the woodstove chimney. Suspect the 2x12 wedge installed to protect the chimney from snow load has slightly lifted. No present leak due to cold temps. Will to do a time and materials contract. potential scope: 1) inspect the wedge (repair or replace if not in good shape), 2) remove fasteners from wedge through roof, 3) shoot silicone caulk down all screw holes and put roof cement over hole. 4) reinstall wedge ~6-12" higher up the roof line with roof cement under all areas screws will be going through. 5) Strengthen wedge connection to roof by putting 2x6 on underside of roof for screws to fasten to and add cross members to wedge for areas that hold down screws go through. Open to other means of fixing the leak.
