Tile: Ceramic and Porcelain - Install

I would like tile installed around the bottom of a small stand alone wood stove. (Not sure what kind of heat resistant tile I should use? I have left over tile from a bathroom project but I could pick up something more suitable. The wood has been cut out in front and around the stove (for the most part but there may need to be additional trimming of the laminate wood flooring. I can send picture if that helps. Thanks
